    KnowPact™Integrity due diligence by KairoPact

Know who you are working with.

You are about to accept a donation, make a grant or sign a partnership. You need to know what the record says about the organisation and the people behind it, but you do not have an investigations team, and the tools that do this are built for compliance teams screening at volume. KnowPact gives you a clear, sourced assessment, one report at a time, from one team responsible for the work from request to delivery.

Led by Smeeta Basak, formerly of EY New York and TransUnion CIBIL. Built by practitioners with experience across WHO, UNFPA, PSI, the Gates Foundation, Abt Associates, and Jhpiego. Working across South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific.

    The problem this solves

Some risks only surface after you commit.

A donor linked to sanctions. A grantee with an undisclosed court case. A board member with political ties nobody mentioned. These things may not show up in a routine website search or reference call, and when they do surface, it is often at the worst possible time.

The tools that find them are built for banks. They come with annual subscriptions, minimum volumes and screens full of raw search results that someone still has to read and make sense of. If you check partners now and then rather than every day, an annual subscription is rarely the right fit.

You need a thorough check, explained clearly, without a subscription.

    What KnowPact actually is

Thorough checks, without hiring an investigations firm.

One request. A clear assessment. One team responsible for it.

This is not a database login or a list of search results for your team to sift through. You tell us who you need to check. We review the organisation and the key people and partners agreed with you, and explain what we found and why it may matter to your decision.

Database checks alone leave you reading raw results. Investigations firms go deeper, but that can be more than a routine partner check needs. We sit in between: licensed specialist sources and public records, read by experienced people, with every report prepared by our due diligence lead and reviewed by a KairoPact founding team member before it reaches you. You tell us who to check; we manage the rest.

    NGO director: a new donor

A family business offers a large gift. Before the board accepts, we check the family's companies, their directors and any political exposure, and set out any sanctions, court or adverse-media findings for the board to consider.

Sanctions · Political exposure · Adverse media

    Foundation lead: a new grantee

Before the first payment goes out, we check the NGO, its board and its key implementing partners for court cases, regulatory action and connections the application did not mention, where the sources show them.

    Courts · Governance · Partners

Advisory firm: a report for its own client

A client in the Gulf needs a documented check on a prospective partner. We screen against international sanctions lists and regional terrorism watchlists, set out the available ownership and control information, and deliver a sourced report the firm can use in advising its client.

Sanctions and terrorism watchlists · Ownership · Risk assessment

    The questions every report examines.

Every report starts with a one-page summary: the overall risk rating, the key findings and suggested next steps to consider. The detail follows, question by question, with material findings linked to their sources.

Is anyone in scope on a sanctions or terrorism watchlist?

International sanctions lists and national terrorism watchlists, including in the Gulf, checked for the organisation and its key people.

    Are politically exposed people involved?

Current and former public officials, their relatives and close associates, among the organisation's leaders and owners.

    Are there reported financial-crime concerns?

Watchlist entries, reported allegations of fraud, bribery, money laundering or terrorism financing, and enforcement action, with allegations clearly separated from established findings.

What has been reported about them?

Licensed international news archives covering up to ten years, alongside public sources.

    Who owns and controls it?

Available ownership, control and governance information, and the companies connected to it.

Are there court cases or regulatory actions?

Litigation and regulatory action found in accessible records. Availability varies by country, and the report says where records could not be checked.

    Who else is involved?

Directors, founders and the other key people and partners agreed with you up front, each checked.

    So how risky is this?

Every section rated Low, Medium or High, with a short note on why it may matter to you and what, if anything, to look into further.

    How it works

    Four simple steps.

    1. Tell us who to check.

Share the organisation or person, the country and why you are checking them. We confirm the scope, and any details we need, before we start.

    2. We search the record.

We run the organisation and the people connected to it through licensed international databases and public records.

    3. Our analysts make sense of it.

They review potential matches, reconcile conflicting facts and assess each finding against a consistent risk framework. Smeeta Basak, our due diligence lead, prepares every report, and a KairoPact founding team member reviews it before delivery.

    4. You get a clear assessment.

A report that opens with a one-page summary you can act on, with the supporting evidence and source references behind it.

    Why KairoPact

Specialist sources. People who read them for you.

    • An assessment, not a data dump.

Screening tools can return hundreds of search results. We give you a risk assessment, the evidence behind it and practical next steps to consider.

    • The people, not just the name.

Important risks can sit with the people and partners around an organisation. We agree the relevant ones with you and include them in the scope.

    • Built for our sector.

We know how NGOs, foundations, community bodies and social enterprises operate, and we read every finding in that context.

    • One price per report.

No subscription, no minimum volume and no prepayment. Pay for what you need, when you need it.

    • Your information stays private.

Every check is handled in confidence. Your information is never shared with other clients, and we explain how it is handled before we start.

    Who it is for

For anyone who needs to know before they commit.

    • NGOs checking a new donor before accepting the money.
    • Foundations and philanthropists checking a grantee or implementing partner before the first payment.
    • Advisory and philanthropy firms that need documented reports for their own clients.
    • CSR teams checking an NGO partner before signing.
    • Impact investors checking founders and companies before they invest.
    • Founders checking an investor or funder before they sign.

    When it works best

    • A decision is coming up: a gift, a grant, a contract or an investment.
    • The stakes are high enough that a surprise later would hurt.
    • You check partners now and then, not hundreds a month.
    • You want an assessment you can act on, not a pile of search results.

If you need to screen thousands of customers continuously, a dedicated screening system is usually the better fit.
